The MAX-X24 is the happiest place to live in town. Complete with a living green wall that provides filtered light to private balconies, this multifamily building looks and feels like it belongs in Marina del Rey or Miami’s South Beach or perhaps the North Shore of Chicago. Regardless of the locale, the building units prompt a sense of freedom and open living. Unencumbered with walls and redundant partitions, the Studio apartments vary from 720 sq.ft. up to 1440 sq.ft. If this looks like the Azria Home 1440’s big brother, you’re very observant. We’ve multiplied all the great qualities of the 1440 into this multi-unit MAX-X24. Conceived with accelerated construction schedules as the solution to achieving affordable construction in Los Angeles, it’s composed of eight market-rate rental units.

MAX-X24 — Design Highlights

From a central core elevator, you effortlessly ascend from the ground level garage to all upper units, but the real surprise is revealed when you discover that the MAX-X24 is crowned with a planted rooftop terrace — an oasis on the roof with a spot for socializing, sunning and/or napping. Away from the busy streets below, the views from this 5th floor will be stunning. Although the outdoor social gathering area is found at the rooftop, each unit opens onto its own private balcony with large glass pivot doors. If the look and feel are not enough for you, this building is highly adaptable to a wide range of property types. In addition, this building is positioned for fast track permitting and construction.

MAX-X24 — Materials 

Our homes are supported by steel building modules. We love the benefits of working in steel and utilize steel with content that is between 17-20% recycled. Our incremental goal is to increase the recycled steel content of our modules by 5% annually in order to reach our ultimate goal of building 100% recycled steel structures. We also use non-toxic caulks, adhesives and low-VOC (volatile organic compound) paints. All of our appliances are Energy Star rated and our ultra efficient heating and cooling systems will keep you comfortable in the most severe weather. Without exception, all of our lighting is LED. We work with any buyers who want to integrate a tied-to-the-grid electric solar power systems. It won’t be long before the cost of water is equivalent to the cost of gasoline, and thus our homes conserve water above and beyond what is required by law. We use low-flow shower heads, dual-flush toilets and under-sink flow restrictors and we encourage the integration of affordable greywater systems and drought-resistant landscaping.
